Located in the Yucatan Peninsula of the Gulf of Mexico just south of Cancun, Playa del Carmen is an established beach town that has many attractions for guests. With Cozumel across the way there is great scuba diving, beautiful beaches and close proximity to other towns like Tulum and Holbox. Playa has a great safe main city full of hotels, condos, restaurants, bars, and shops without being as resort oriented as Cancun. It is a perfect place to enjoy Mexico and the sandy beaches.
